Professional Fire Safety & Assessor Accreditation
A Fire Risk Assessor operating to this level should be able to conduct a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment of the general fire precautions in buildings that are perceived to have:
Used for domestic residencies for a family or persons of a familiar occupancy of less than 15; or
Have retail or commercial occupancies with less than 15 staff and the public; and
Are less than 3 stories in height above ground floor level;
Have internal travel distances of less than 30 metres;
Contain no abnormal hazards or substantial quantities of controlled product, and
Generally have a floor area of less than 300 square metres.
Customers should make checks and be satisfied that fire risk assessors are competent to carry out fire risk assessments in their type of premises. We advise customers to confirm this before instructing any fire risk assessor to proceed.
