CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP GRADE REQUIREMENTS

The Institute actively encourages applications for membership from individuals who hold appropriate academic qualifications and/or experience for particular corporate grades of membership. These are:

Technician (TIFPO) - To become a Technician member an applicant must be pursuing a career in fire safety, or a related industry, have relevant experience within the scope of their chosen field acceptable to the Institute and/or have an academic qualification recognised by the Institute and acceptable to it, and be continually developing their professional expertise.

Associate Member (AMIFPO) To become an Associate Member an applicant must be pursuing a career in fire safety, or a related industry in a position of responsibility, have experience within the scope of their chosen field commensurate with the grade of Associate Member and acceptable to the Institute and/or have an academic qualification commensurate with the grade of Associate Member which is recognised by the Institute and acceptable to it and be continually developing their professional expertise.

Member (MIFPO) - To become a Member an applicant must, be pursuing a career in fire safety, or a related industry in a position of responsibility, have experience within the scope of their chosen field commensurate with the grade of Member and acceptable to the Institute, and/or have an academic qualification commensurate with the grade of Member which is recognised by the Institute and acceptable to it and be continually developing their professional expertise.
